Georgian drinks and food products were exported to the UK with the support of the Produce in Georgia Agency, said Mikhail Khidureli, head of the agency, Trend reports via 1tv.ge.

In the UK, the mentioned goods were sold for 600,000 lari (some $202,000), as part of the International Food & Drink Event or IFE 2019 event, which was held on March 17-20 in London.

Among the Georgian products were wines, various varieties of nuts and natural juices.

"It is important that our companies introduce Georgian products to the wider British community," said Khidureli.

The International Food & Drink Event or IFE 2019 is the largest and most important event in the UK food and beverage sector. The exhibition is held every two years.
