Kazakhstan's reserve money slightly down

As at the end of August 2019, the value of reserve money of Kazakhstan amounted to 6.602 trillion tenge, which is 6.7 percent less that in July and 0.7 percent less than at the beginning of the year, Trend reports with reference to the data of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

“Furthermore, the narrow reserve money equaled to 5.888 trillion tenge with a decrease of four percent since July and of 1.8 percent since the beginning of the year,” the report said.

“In turn, the value of currency in circulation stood at 2.247 trillion tenge, which is an increase by 0.5 percent since July and a decrease by 0.6 percent since the beginning of the year,” the statement said.

M1 money aggregate decreased by 0.4 percent since July and amounted to 5.576 trillion tenge, while M2 money aggregate decreased by 2.2 percent in a month and equaled 14.629 trillion tenge.

“The broad money value amounted to 19.782 trillion tenge, which is 0.6 percent less than in July and five percent less than in the beginning of the year,” the report said.
