Georgia increases export of wine to China

Georgia exported 3,790 tons of wine to China from January through September 2019, Trend reports with reference to the Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).

Wine of fresh grapes was exported from Georgia to China for a total amount of $13.5 million.

On an annual basis, Georgia increased the export of wine of fresh grapes by 361,9 kilograms. Over the same period last year, 3,391 tons of wine of fresh grapes totaling $13.6 million were exported from Georgia to China.

For nine months of 2019, total imports to Georgia from China amounted to $647.2 million In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $125.1 million to China.

The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey from January to August 2019 exceeded $772.3 million, which is 8.4 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.
