JSC Energo-Pro Georgia, a Czechia-based company, made foreign direct investments (FDI) of $12 million in Georgia in third quarter of 2019, Trend reports citing Georgian media outlets.
The company entered Georgian energy market in June 2007.
Energo-Pro Georgia represents one of the biggest energy companies in the region. It is a member of Energo-Pro Group, which unites energy utilities in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Turkey.
“The investments have been made to develop high, medium and low voltage networks”, Energo-Pro Georgia said.
According to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat), FDI in Georgia amounted to $417.3 million in third quarter of 2019, up by 13.7 percent from the adjusted data of third quarter of 2018.
For years, JSC Energo-Pro Georgia stays among TOP-10 companies, which make the largest direct foreign investments in Georgia.
