Azerbaijani Customs' deductions to state budget up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 13

Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee (SCC) transferred 402.2 million manat ($236.6 million) to the state budget in December 2019, which is 2.2 times more than in December 2018, Trend reports referring to data provided by SCC.

In December 2019, customs duties amounted to 110.6 million manat ($65 million), or 27.5 percent of all revenues, VAT - 269 million manat ($158.2 million), or 66.9 percent, excise taxes – 18.7 million manat ($11 million), or 4.6 percent, road tax – 3.8 million manat ($2.2 million), or less than 1 percent.

An increase in revenues from the customs duties doubled, along with an increase of 2.3 times for revenues from VAT in December 2019 compared to December 2018. Meanwhile, 5.9-percent increase in revenues from road tax and 20.6 percent decrease in revenues from excise taxes were observed.

Revenues to the state budget through SCC are formed from customs duties, value added tax (VAT), excise tax and road tax.
