Azerbaijan reveals volume of export in 2019

Azerbaijan’s total export amounted to $17.6 billion from January through November 2019, Trend reports referring to the data of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee (SCC).

Some 29.6 percent of country’s total export accounted for Italy, 13.9 percent - Turkey, 6.6 percent - Israel, 5.2 percent - India, 5.1 percent - Germany, 4.1 percent - China, 3.8 percent - Spain, 3.6 percent - Russia, 3.1 percent - the Czech Republic, 2.9 percent - France and Georgia (for each), 2.6 percent - the UK, 2 percent - Croatia, 1.9 percent - Portugal, 1.8 percent - Ukraine, and 10.9 percent - other countries, SCC said.

In turn, the overall share of Azerbaijan's non-oil export is as follows: 34.9 - Russia, 20.4 percent - Turkey, 9.2 percent - Switzerland, 8.5 percent - Georgia, 2.6 percent - Ukraine, 2.2 percent - Italy, 2 percent - China, 1.9 percent - Greece, while Iran, Kazakhstan and the Netherlands accounted for 1.3 percent each.

In the first 11 months of 2019, export of fresh fruits increased by 9.9 percent compared to the same period of 2018, sugar - by 49.4 percent, tobacco - 1.6 times; fruit and vegetable juices - by 31.1 percent, tea - by 6.5 percent, canned fruits and vegetables - by 5 percent, margarine and other nutritious mixtures - by 26.9 percent, cotton fiber - 1.6 times, cotton yarn - by 34.8 percent, raw aluminum - by 31.5 percent, polyethylene - by 10.9 percent, and bentonite clay - by 16 percent.

Meanwhile, exports of fresh vegetables dropped by 7 percent, potatoes - by 7.2 percent, vegetable oils - by 23.3 percent, wines and grape must - by 20.4 percent, semi-finished products from ferrous metals - by 29.4 percent, pipes made from ferrous metals - by 81.9 percent.
