Iran discloses activity of NIMA system

Some 14.7 billion euros of the funds from the export of goods have been sold via NIMA system during 11 months of this Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through February 19, 2020), Trend reports referring to NIMA system’s website.

During the reporting period, 12.4 billion euros were purchased to import goods.

The highest sales volumes were observed in Iran in the 2nd month (from April 21 through May 21, 2019) and amounted to 2.1 billion euros. At the same time, the highest purchase volume was in the same month and amounted to 1.9 billion euros.

The highest sales transactions via this system were observed in the 11th month and $1 was sold at 126,330 rials and 1 euro – at 138,670 rials.

The highest purchase transactions were in the same month and $1 was sold at 126,180 rials and 1 euro - 138,480 rials.

After the devaluation in Iran in 2018, the Central Bank applied the system of selling a part of the currency from export of goods at the rate set by NIMA system, taking into account the difference between the rate in the black market and the official exchange rate.

Presently, according to the official exchange rate in Iran $1 is 42,000 rials, 1 euro - 45,000 rials, $1 - 148,000 rials, 1 euro - 159,000 rials according to the SANA exchange rate and $1 - 133,000 rials, 1 euro – 146,000 rials according to the NIMA exchange rate.
