Azerbaijan produced chemical goods, pharmaceuticals, rubber and plastic products worth 950.5 million manat ($559.1 million) in 2019, Trend reports referring to a report on the activity of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers in 2019 submitted to the country’s parliament.
According to the report, output of chemical products increased by 25.6 percent, pharmaceuticals – by 22 percent, rubber and plastic products – by 20.6 percent compared to 2018.
In 2019, industrial companies manufactured metallurgical and finished metal products worth 759.4 million manat ($446.7 million).
Output of the finished metal products in the reporting year was 80 percent more compared to 2018.
Meanwhile, the metallurgical products were exported to bring revenue of $96 million.
In 2019, mechanical engineering products worth 317.9 million manat ($187 million) were manufactured in the country.
Output of the machinery and equipment in the reporting year increased by 80 percent, and production of cars, trailers and semi-trailers decreased by 17.7 percent compared to 2018.
Computer, electronic and optical products, as well as electric equipment in the amount of 276.3 million manat ($162.5 million) were manufactured, which is 51.8 percent more compared to 2018.
