Azerbaijan’s Bank Respublika increases capital

Azerbaijan’s Bank Respublika OJSC increased its total liabilities by 5.4 percent to 1.2 million manat ($705,882), Trend reports with reference to the bank’s balance sheet.

In the structure of liabilities, a significant share (79.8 percent) accounted for deposits, which decreased by 8.4 percent and amounted to 1 million manat ($588,235) on an annualized basis. As reported, 70.4 percent accounted for deposits of legal persons, which decreased by 10.6 percent to 709.7 million manat ($417.4 million). Deposits from individuals accounted for 29.6 percent of the deposit portfolio with 18.4 million manat ($10.8 million), and indicating a decrease of 2.6 percent on annualized basis.

Liabilities to Central Bank of Azerbaijan, state funds, credit organizations and other financial institutions increased by 7.4 percent for the year and amounted to 215.6 million manat ($126.8 million).

Other liabilities amounted to 19.5 million manat ($11.4 million), showing an increase of 38.3 percent.

According to the report, the bank’s share capital did not change on an annualized basis and remained equal to 73.4 million manat ($43.1 million). The uncovered loss amounted to 6.1 million manat ($3.5 million), decreasing by one third over the year. Capital reserves amounted to 13.9 million manat ($8.1 million), showing an increase of 3.5 percent.

The total capital of the bank increased by 3.6 percent and amounted to 81.2 million manat ($47.7 million).
