Uzbekistan reveals data on goods in warehouses

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31

The warehouses of Uzbekistan customs are storing some 1.2 million tons of goods, as of May 28, 2020, Trend reports citing the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan.

"The total cost of the goods is $1.8 billion. As expected, Committee will provide customs privileges in the amount of 3.2 trillion soum ($314.4 million)," the message said.

Some 83,100 tons of mentioned goods ($40.4 million) are food products.

Most of the foodstuffs include: wheat (42,200 tons, $8.6 million), sugar (8,400 tons, $3.2 million), sunflower oil (5,100 tons, $3.7 million), palm oil (3,800 tons, $2.5 million), meat (3,200 tons, $3.2 million),flour (3,200 tons, $840.900), peas (3,100 tons, $669.800), margarine (2,100 tons, $2.2 million), soybean, peanuts, olive oil (1,200 tons, $981,200), potatoes (888 tons, $95.200), canned vegetables (843 tons, $913,700), pasta (718 tons, $925,100), bananas (518 tons, $207,200), biological supplements (456.6 tons, $3.9 million) and dairy products (441 tons, $550,900).

By region, the bulk of the food supply comes from Tashkent city ($24 million), Tashkent region ($6.8 million), Syrdarya ($3.9 million), and Samarkand ($3.5 million).
