The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Azerbaijan increased by 2.9 percent from January through May 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports on June 10 referring to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
Meanwhile, the CPI for food, drinks and tobacco products increased by 5.5 percent, non-food products - by 1.2 percent, the paid services to the population - by 1 percent.
The CPI in the country decreased by 0.5 percent in May 2020 compared to April 2019 and by 2.9 percent compared to May 2019.
