Azerbaijan discloses data on grain harvesting as of June 22

Over 1.1 million tons of grain was harvested from an area of 362,700 hectares in Azerbaijan as of June 22, which is 35.9 percent of the crop, Trend reports citing the country’s Ministry of Agriculture.

At the same time, two-thirds of the barley crop was harvested from an area of 258,200 hectares.

In terms of volume, harvesting of barley from made up 783,100 tons, and wheat - 343,850 tons from 104,500 hectares of land.

The average yield for barley is 30.3 centners per hectare, for wheat - 32.9 centners per hectare.

Currently, grain harvesting continues in the country’s 36 districts.

As of June 22, barley yields in the country’s Aghdam district amounted to 36.4 centners per hectare, in Beylagan district - 30.5 centners per hectare, in Barda district - 39.8 centners per hectare, Bilasuvar district - 32.3 centners per hectare, Fizuli district - 31.3 centners per hectare, Imishli - 38.4 centners per hectare, Neftchala district - 27.8 centners per hectare, Saatli district - 36.4 centners per hectare, Sabirabad district - 37.9 centners per hectare and Yevlakh district - 28.6 centners per hectare.
