Azerbaijan's Bank BTB increases its total liabilities

The total liabilities of Azerbaijan’s Bank BTB OJSC, increased by 8.3 percent in 2019 compared to the previous year, Trend reports citing the company’s consolidated audited financial report.

The total liabilities of the bank grew by 21.4 million manat ($12.5 million), having reached 279.9 million manat ($164.6 million).

In the structure of liabilities, the largest part, 52.2 percent, accounted for deposits, the volume of which made up 146 million manat ($85.8 million). Deposits of banks and financial institutions amounted to 5.5 million manat ($3.2 million), increasing by two percent year on year.

Liabilities to credit organizations and other financial institutions increased by 1.6 percent for the year and amounted to 125.3 million manat ($73.7 million). The bank’s renting liabilities made up 1.79 million manat ($1.05 million). Other liabilities amounted to 1.3 million manat ($760,000), which is 18.2 percent more than in the previous year.

"The bank’s share capital on an annualized basis did not change and amounted to 66.4 million manat ($39 million). The uncovered loss amounted to 12 million manat ($7 million), having declined by 20.1 percent for the year," said the report.

Thus, at the expense of decreased uncovered losses, the total capital of the bank rose by 5.9 percent and made up 54.4 million manat ($32.2 million).

BTB Bank OJSC was established in 2010. Currently, it has 17 branches in total.
