Total assets of Azerbaijani banks for 1H2020 disclosed

Total assets of Azerbaijani banks made up 30.5 billion manat ($17.9 billion) as of July 1, 2020, which is 1.8 percent more compared to the same period in 2019, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to CBA, as of July 1.2020, in the structure of assets the largest share (about 46 percent) accounted for customer loans, the volume of which rose by 7.6 percent, reaching 14.1 billion manat ($8.2 billion). After deduction of target reserves, the net volume of the issued loans amounted to 12.8 million manat ($27 million), growing by 9 percent.

The amount of cash decreased slightly, amounting to 1.4 billion manat ($820 million).

A total of 3.3 billion manat ($1.94 billion) accounted for investments in securities compared to 3.26 billion manat ($1.92 billion) in the late 2019.

The share of fixed capital in the structure of long-term assets dropped by 34 percent, up to 736.6 million manat ($433.2 million).

Intangible assets went down by 25.5 percent, making up 130.8 million manat ($76.9 million).

Other assets made up slightly over 1.4 billion manat ($820 million).
