The total bank deposits in Azerbaijani regions as of late June 2020 made up 7.7 billion manat ($4.5 billion), which is 1.03 million manat ($610,000) or 11.8 percent less compared to June 2019, Trend reports referring to a report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

The share of Azerbaijani regions in the total volume of all bank deposits in the country as of late June 2020 was 10.4 percent.

Around 46 percent or 3.5 billion manat ($2 billion) of all deposits in the country's regions for the reporting period accounted for savings in the national currency. Except for Baku, the share of deposits in national currency exceeded 84 percent.

As of late June 2020, the volume of deposits in Baku amounted to 6.9 billion manat ($4 billion), including 2.8 billion manat ($1.6 billion) in national currency.

The average annual deposit rate in June 2020 was 3 percent in the country's regions and 2.9 percent in Baku.
