Iran announces amount of foreign investments in Kerman Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 28

About $282 million has been invested in the Kerman Province (southeastern Iran) since seven years ago (the current government came to power in Iran in August 2013), an official representative of the office of finance and economic affairs in Kerman Province Hamid Shahsavari said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

According to Shahsavari, $1.65 billion worth of foreign investment was approved in Kerman Province over past six years (until March 21, 2019).

Shahsavari added that the foreign investors invest cash money in the province, along with bringing in necessary equipment and specialists for a given project.

The deputy director emphasized that foreign investment in the province is mainly invested in the area of industrial projects, alternative renewable energy, solar panels.

Shahsavari said that the investments were mainly invested from Southeastern Asia and European countries.
