Central banks of Uzbekistan and Korea will cooperate in the field of know-how exchange, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
Bank of Korea and the Central Bank of Uzbekistan signed an agreement on Knowledge Partnership Program on Aug. 14.
The program is aimed at promoting the development of the financial market and macroeconomic policy of Uzbekistan in order to support the country's long-term economic growth, as well as at strengthening the capacity of the Central Bank through the exchange of best practices, knowledge and experience.
Under the program, the Bank of Korea will provide advice to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan on currency policy issues, including in-depth macroeconomic analysis for staff development.
The program will be implemented by a team consisting of Bank of Korea staff, scientific advisors from leading Korean economic institutions and employees of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
