Most of loans in Azerbaijan issued for household sector

The biggest share of credit investments in Azerbaijan accounted for the household sector, amounting to 45 percent as of August 1, 2020, Trend reports referring to the statistics bulletin of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

The volume of loans in the country’s household sector increased by 1.6 percent or by 622.2 million manat ($366 million) as of the reporting date, compared to August 1, 2019, amounting to 6.5 billion manat ($3.8 billion).

The volume of loans in the field of trade and services decreased by 0.4 percent or by 89.4 million manat ($52.5 million) in late July 2020 compared to the same period of last year 2019, making up 2.3 billion manat ($1.3 billion). A share of the total volume of credit investments in this sector made up 16.3 percent.

The volume of loans in the field of transport and communications amounted to 917.7 million manat ($539.8 million), which is equivalent to 6.3 percent of total volume of loans in the real sector. This indicator decreased by 3 percent or by 356.7 million manat ($209.8 million) for the year.

A growth in lending by 20 times or by 289 million manat ($170 million) was observed in the field of industry and production.
