Central Bank of Azerbaijan reveals insurance payments of five insurance companies

The number of insurance payments of five leading insurance companies reached 190.1 million manats ($111.8 million) in Azerbaijan from January through July 2020, which was 85 percent out of all payments, Trend reports referring to a report from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

The ranking by the volume of insurance payments was topped by PASHA Life at the end of the reporting period, which accounted for 52.5 percent of total insurance payments. This company made 117.07 million manats ($68.9 million) worth of payments during the first seven months of this year.

The second position in the ranking was taken by PASHA Insurance company with a total amount of payments worth 34.8 million manats that’s $20.5 million (15.6 percent of all payments) while Ateshgah Hayat company with the payments worth 19.7 million manats that’s $11.6 million (8.8 percent) ranked third.

Xalq Sigorta with a volume of payments worth 9.4 million manats that’s $5.5 million (4.2 percent) and Ateshgah - 9.1 million manat ($5.3 million) or four percent ranked fourth and fifth.

The payments of the Azerbaijani insurance companies amounted to 223.2 million manats ($131.3 million) from January through July 2020, which was 68.6 million manats ($40.3 million) more than in the same period of last year.
