PMO announces discounts on docking dues

Deputy Head of Iran`s Ports and Maritime Organization announced changing of trade in the Caspian Sea, equipping Iran's northern ports with the necessary infrastructure to accept container ships and discounts for vessels and refrigerated containers to facilitate trades.

“Following the change in the trade in the northern ports of the country from bulk cargoes to containers and refrigerated goods, the PMO has equipped the northern and southern ports of the country to accept reefer ships,” Farhad Montaser Kouhsari said, Trend reports citing ILNA.

Stating that the PMO has also upgraded the capacity of ordinary and refrigerated container terminals, he continued that Iran had a 150 percent increase in trade of refrigerated goods via southern and northern ports.

Referring to the recent plan of the Ports and Maritime Organization, to facilitate the trade route of refrigerated goods, he said that “Container ships in northern ports, refrigerated vessels in southern ports and refrigerated containers in northern and southern ports will enjoy various discounts."

He went on to say that in the northern and southern ports of the country, all container ships will enjoy a 25 percent discount on docking dues.
