Funds in the amount of 1.4 trillion soums ($135 million) will be allocated for the modernization of the architectural appearance and the improvement of regional centers and cities of Uzbekistan in 2021, Trend reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Justice.

A resolution of the President "On organizational measures for the formation of programs for the development of social and industrial infrastructure of the Republic of Uzbekistan" has been adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, in 2021, 17.1 trillion soums ($1.65) will be allocated to implement the Program for the Development of Social and Industrial Infrastructure of Uzbekistan, as well as 1.5 trillion soums ($135 million) for expenses on social and economic development of Uzbek regions.

In connection with the allocation of funds for the development of the material and technical base of defense and law enforcement agencies at the expense of their extra-budgetary funds, the volume of centralized investments directed to them is reduced commensurately.

Starting from 2022, projects of budgetary organizations implemented at the expense of their off-budget funds are included in programs for the development of social and industrial infrastructure in Uzbekistan.

According to the decree, in 2021, private entrepreneurship will be attracted to 10 facilities as an experiment to provide engineering services.

In cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and other international structures in selected industries, the Public Investment Management Assessment (PIMA) system will be introduced as an experiment, followed by a phased widespread implementation.
