Pakistani National Bank's branch in Baku reveals its 9M2020 total assets

Total assets of the branch of the National Bank of Pakistan in Baku increased by 14.5 percent in the first nine months of 2020, compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing the bank's balance sheet.

According to the report, total assets increased by 1.5 million manat ($882,352) over the year, making up to 11.9 million manat ($7 million). In the structure of assets, the largest share (62.7 percent) belongs to investments in securities in the amount of 7.5 million manat ($4.41 million), which increased by 18.2 percent compared to the same period of 2019.

The bank's loan portfolio amounted to 10 percent of total assets and is estimated at 1.2 million manat ($0.7 million), an increase of 28.8 percent. Some 10.4 percent of assets fell on correspondent account in the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), the amount of which is 1.24 million manat ($0.72 million), increasing by 54.7 percent on an annualized basis.

Cash and cash equivalents account for another 2.1 percent of total assets. Their volume increased by 4,100 manat ($2,411) and is equal to 245,500 manat ($144,411).

In the structure of long-term assets for the mentioned nine months, intangible assets amounted to 11,900 manat ($7,000), while a year earlier 15,850 manat ($9,323). The rest of the assets made up 1.4 million manat ($0.82 million).
