TEHRAN, Iran, Nov. 1

Trend:

Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), which is Iran’s major stock exchange, witnessed a 17,456 points rise in its main index, which eventually reached 1,305,000 points, on Saturday.

The indices of Isfahan Oil Refinery, Iran Khodro Investment Development Co., Tehran Behsaz Kashaneh Co., Tamin Cement Investment Company, Tehran Oil Refinery, Abadan Power Generation and Saipa were the most traded indices at the TSE on Saturday, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The FaraBourse Exchange also gained more than 142 points and remained stable at 16,267 points.

The total index of the Tehran Stock Exchange soared from about 500,000 units at the beginning of the Iranian calendar year, starting March 20, to two million units in mid-August. Many experts have blamed government manipulation for the stock market increases, which have created a bubble.

Since the second half of August, the TSE index has fluctuated and dropped by 500,000 units in the last two months.
