More jobs to be created in Iran’s Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province

The employment in the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province (western Iran) increased by 133 percent with issuance of licenses for establishment of enterprises during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

According to the statistics, about 6,770 people are envisaged to be employed. Meanwhile last year the figure stood at 2,900 people.

“As many as 353 enterprises were licensed to be established in the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province over the first six months of the current Iranian year. While in the same period last Iranian year, it was 285 enterprises. The number of issued licenses increased 23.9 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year," said the ministry.

“It is planned to invest about 36.7 trillion rials (about $868 million) into the enterprises licensed for creation,” the report said.

The volume of investments increased by more than 6 times compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, 5.96 trillion rials (about $142 million) worth of investments were planned to invest to the licensed enterprises in the same period last Iranian year, the report added.

A total of 12,800 enterprises were licensed for establishment in Iran during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2020) with an investment of 2.25 quadrillion rials (about $53.5 billion).

In general, 410,000 people are envisaged to be employed at the enterprises licensed within 6 months. The number of issued licenses increased by 46.9 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. This resulted in an increase of 42.5 percent in terms of investments and 36.3 percent in terms of employment.
