Iran discloses plan on creation of new jobs in Yazd Province

About 33,200 people are estimated to be employed at the licensed enterprises in the Yazd Province (central Iran) during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2020), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

According to the statistics, employment increased by 45.1 percent in 6 months compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, it was planned to employ about 22,900 people at the enterprises licensed in the same period last Iranian year.

As many as 1,760 enterprises were licensed to be established in the Yazd Province over the first six months of the current Iranian year. While in the same period of the last Iranian year, 1,360 enterprises were licensed to be established. The number of issued licenses increased 29.3 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“It is planned to be invested about 210 trillion rials (about $5 billion) into the enterprises licensed to be established within 6 months,” the statistics said.

The volume of investments increased by about 287 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 54.1 trillion rials (about $1.29 billion) worth of investments were planned for the licensed enterprises in the same period last Iranian year.

A total of 12,800 enterprises were licensed to be established in Iran during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2020) with an investment of 2.25 quadrillion rials (about $53.5 billion).

In general, 410,000 people are envisaged to be employed at the enterprises licensed within 6 months.

The number of issued licenses increased by 46.9 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. This resulted in an increase of 42.5 percent in terms of investments and 36.3 percent in terms of employment.
