Credit investments of the banking sector in Azerbaijan amounted to 14.4 billion manat ($8.47 billion) as of early November 2020, having decreased by 3.3 percent or 491.6 million manat ($289.1 million) compared to the beginning of 2020, Trend reports citing the report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
At the same time, credit investments increased by 2.4 percent year on year or 334.3 million manat ($196.6 million) compared to the same period of 2019.
Deposits of Azerbaijan’s population as of November 2020 amounted to 7.87 billion manat ($4.62 billion), having declined by 8.9 percent or 767.6 million manat ($451.5 million) compared to the beginning of 2020. While in annual terms, this figure decreased by 940.8 million manat ($553.4 million) or 10.7 percent.
The total volume of lending to the financial sector as of early October 2020 amounted to 314 million manat ($184.7 million), an increase of 7.1 percent over the year. The volume of lending to the real sector amounted to 14.8 billion manat ($8.7 billion).
