The number of bank plastic cards in circulation as of November 1, 2020, amounted to more than 24.48 million units, Trend reports referring to the press service of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
The leader in terms of the number of cards issued from January through October 2020 became the People's Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan with 5.54 million cards. It is followed by Agrobank and National Bank with 3.08 million and 2.72 million cards, respectively.
Central Bank reports that 438,380 payment terminals and 11,570 ATMs and self-service kiosks have been installed in Uzbekistan for the reported period.
The largest number of terminals installed in Uzbekistan falls on the People's Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, amounting to 55,872 terminals. It is followed by Agrobank and Ipoteka Bank with 47,271 and 44,835 terminals, respectively.
Kapitalbank installed the largest number of ATMs and self-service kiosks, which amounted to 3,036. At the same time, 1,865 ATMs and self-service kiosks were installed by Agrobank, and 1,006 of them were installed by the People's Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In addition, receipts through payment terminals in Uzbekistan from January through October 2020 exceeded 65.06 trillion soums ($6.25 billion).
