Swiss Investment Company to issue bonds in Uzbek national currency

The Swiss investment company Symbiotics will attract foreign investors and funds in the Uzbek market by issuing special bonds denominated in national currency on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, Trend reports referring to the press service of Ipak Yuli Bank.

Symbiotics signed an agreement with Ipak Yuli Bank through its Luxembourg-based bond platform Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise Bonds S.A. (MSME Bonds) on the allocation of a credit line for about $12 million in national currency equivalent.

This agreement was concluded to expand the possibilities of providing financing in national currency from the Ipak Yuli Bank to small and medium-sized businesses by integrating international financial mechanisms, including those provided by Symbiotics, which contribute to the development of the modern economy of Uzbekistan.

Cooperation with the investment company Symbiotics began in 2019 when credit lines were provided for a total amount of $20 million.

Registered in Geneva in 2004, Symbiotics is an investment firm specializing in sustainable finance for developing countries, offering market research, investment advisory, and asset management services.

Since 2005, Symbiotics has structured and initiated over 4,000 transactions for over 450 companies in 90 emerging economies, amounting to more than $5.5 billion.
