The value of the oil sector in the gross domestic product (GDP) of Iran amounted to 386 trillion rials (about $9.2 billion) during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21), Trend reports citing Central Bank of Iran.
According to the statistics, this is an increase of 0.8 percent compared to the stable prices in 2011.
“The value of the gross domestic product (GDP), including oil, for the reporting period, amounted 3.23 quadrillion rials (about $76.9 billion),” the statistics said.
According to the statistics, however, the value of the gross domestic product in six months, excluding oil, was 2.84 quadrillion rials (about $66.7 billion). This is an increase of 1.4 percent compared to the stable price in 2011.
