Lending volume for Azerbaijani government institutions remains unchanged

The volume of loans issued to the government institutions as of early December 2020 amounted to 800,000 manat ($470,588) in Azerbaijan, remaining unchanged since early May 2020, Trend reports on Jan.13 referring to the statistics from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to the CBA, the biggest share of lending accounted for the household sector, amounting to 46 percent or over 6.7 billion manat ($3.97 billion) of the total volume of loans.

The volume of loans issued to other sectors as of early December 2020 amounted to 513 million manat ($301.7 million), which is 11.1 percent, or 64.3 million manat ($37.8 million) less than in the reporting period of the previous year.

The share of lending to these sectors in lending to the real sector was 3.5 percent, which is by 0.3 percentage points less than in the same period of 2019.

In general, the volume of lending to the Azerbaijani real sector amounted to 14.68 billion manat ($8.6 billion) as of December 1, 2020, showing annualized growth of 435.1 million manat ($255.9 million) or 2.9 percent.
