A total of 75.8 trillion rials (about $1.8 billion) worth of loans were issued to about 1,330 manufacturing enterprises in Iran from February 20, 2020, to December 20, 2020, to increase employment and production, Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the report, 7,260 manufacturing enterprises were registered to receive loans over the reporting period.
"The most amount of loans were issued in Iran's Isfahan Province. Thus, 126 enterprises received loans worth about 8.1 trillion rials (about $193 million)," the report said.
While in Tehran Province, the loans worth 6.69 trillion rials (about $159 million) were issued to 87 enterprises, the report said.
In addition, 699 billion rials (about $16.6 million) worth of loans was issued to eight manufacturing companies in Iran's free trade zones, according to the report.
