The Governor of the Central Bank of Iran Abdolnasser Hemmati stressed the need to comply with the directive of the CBI to adjust the amount of credits granted by private banks to the amount of deposits, Trend reports referring to Hemmati's Instagram account.

“We had a meeting between the government and the private sector in Shiraz city, which has lasted for more than three hours,” Hemmati said.

Referring to the issues raised in the meeting, he said that private banks are obliged to provide necessary resources to complete some 105 semi-finished products in Fars Province of Iran.

“The attendants were informed about the monetary and foreign exchange rate policies and other measures of the Central Bank to battle the sanctions in the last two years," Hemmati said.

He also said that regarding the Shiraz subway project, it was decided to have resources provided to finish the project as soon as possible and launch the subway.
