Most deals with corporate securities in Azerbaijan fall on secondary market

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb.3

The total volume of transactions on corporate securities at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) made up 66 million manat ($38.8 million) in January 2021, Trend reports on Feb.3 citing the data of the BSE.

In total, 167 transactions were carried out in the reporting month. All of them accounted for the secondary market.

In particular, 136 shares worth 39,500 manat ($23,200) and 31 bonds worth over 65.9 million manat ($38.7 million) were sold.

Besides, 3 transactions or 1.8 percent of all transactions in the secondary market accounted for the sale of mortgage bonds in the amount of 62.9 million manat ($37 million).

The total capitalization of the BSE on the last trading day of January 2021 made up more than 3.9 billion manat ($2.3 billion).
