The Iranian banks have approved the issuance of loans worth 5.7 trillion rials (about $136 million) to 62 manufacturing enterprises in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to date, said Amir Hossein Nazari, the Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Khuzestan Province, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
Nazari said that 2.39 trillion rials (about $ 53.2 million) of these funds were issued to manufacturing enterprises as for loans.
He added that the names of 92 manufacturing companies have been announced to banks for the providing of loans worth 10.4 trillion rials (about $249 million).
The chairman noted that the loans were issued to manufacturing enterprises as working capital. The Khuzestan Province accounts for about 5 percent of the total loans issued in Iran as working capital. After discussions with banks in Iran, it was decided to provide additional loans to manufacturing enterprises in Khuzestan Province.
Nazari stressed that the problems of 800 manufacturing, industrial and tourism enterprises in Khuzestan Province have been researched in the current Iranian year.
