It was decided to be increased the capital of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) by 5 trillion rials (about $119 million), Trend reports citing official website of the First VP of Iran.
The Iranian Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri agreed with the proposal of the General Assembly of the Central Bank of Iran to increase capital and announced it to the CBI.
According to the decision, the capital of the Central Bank of Iran was increased from about 58.4 trillion rials (about $1.39 billion) to 63.4 trillion rials (about $1.5 billion).
Relevant bodies and agencies of Iran have been informed in this regard.
Reportedly, the Central Bank of Iran controls all banking operations, economic processes, financial markets and so on in the country.
