Some 4.02 billion manat ($2.36 billion) or 72.8 percent of expenditures from the state budget of Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2021 accounted for current costs, Trend reports on Apr.21 referring to the reporting data of the Ministry of Finance.
According to the data, this figure grew by 269.1 million manat ($158.3 million) or 5.1 percent year on year.
In the structure of state budget expenditures, capital expenditures accounted for 20 percent, or 1.1 billion manat ($650 million), which is 7.8 percent more than in the first quarter of 2020. Serving the state debt and liabilities accounted for 7.2 percent of the state budget expenditures, or 397.5 million manat ($233.8 million).
Besides, according to the data, in 1Q2021, 2.65 billion manat or $1.56 billion (48 percent) was allocated from the state budget to finance socially oriented expenditures (wages fund, scholarships, social benefits, expenses for medicines and food), which is 131.8 million manat ($77.5 million), or 5.2 percent more than in the same period of last year.
The forecast on expenditures of the state budget of Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2021 was fulfilled by 5.52 billion manat ($3.25 billion) under the forecast of 5.41 billion manat ($3.18 billion).
