Liabilities of Pakistani National Bank's Baku branch decrease

The total liabilities of the branch of the National Bank of Pakistan in Baku have decreased over five times in the first quarter of 2021, making up 648,000 manat ($381,176), Trend reports citing the bank's balance sheet.

"In the structure of liabilities, almost the entire share (98.4 percent) belongs to deposits worth 638,000 manat ($375,294) (a decline of more than 80 percent over the year). At the same time, more than 76 percent of deposits fell on demand deposits of legal entities, the amount of which equaled 486,000 manat ($285,882), a decline of 4.9 times over the year. Demand deposits of individuals, having decreased by 33.3 percent, amounted to 152,000 manat ($89,411)," said the report.

Other liabilities of the bank decreased by 32.1 percent - to 10,100 manat ($5,941).

The report noted that the special capital of the Baku branch of the National Bank of Pakistan decreased by 1.5 percent on an annualized basis and amounted to 9.45 million manat ($5.55 million).

The total capital of the Baku branch of the National Bank of Pakistan in the first quarter of 2021 is 9.453 million manat ($5.85 million), having decreased by 1.6 percent over the year.
