Baku Stock Exchange unveils 4M2021 transactions on corporate securities

The total volume of transactions on corporate securities at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to about 138 million manat ($81.1 million) from January through April 2021, Trend reports citing the BSE report.

“During the reporting period, 1,732 transactions were concluded on the BSE. Of these, 1,727 transactions (99.7 percent) worth over 77 million manat ($45.3 million) fell on the secondary market. In particular, 1,599 shares were sold for 926,300 manat ($544,882) and 128 bonds for 76.1 million manat ($44.7 million). Three transactions in the secondary market involved the sale of mortgage bonds in the amount of 62.9 million manat ($37 million).

Five transactions (0.3 percent) worth 61 million manat ($35.8 million) were concluded in the primary market, including two shares worth 5.5 million manat ($3.23 million) and three bonds worth 55.5 million manat ($32.6 million) (including two mortgages) were sold.

The capitalization of the BSE on the last trading day of April 2021 amounted to 4.22 billion manat ($2.48 billion), having increased by 9 percent since the beginning of the year.
