Central Bank of Azerbaijan allocates funds to support financial literacy

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and GT SOLYUŞNZ LLC signed a contract worth 31,435 manat ($18,491), Trend reports citing the ‘Electronic Procurement’ portal.

According to the portal, the winner of the tender announced by the CBA to support the program platform of the financial literacy portal operating in the CBA has been determined.

"By the decision of the tender commission, GT SOLYUŞNZ LLC became the winner of the tender," the portal said.

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan carries out various activities aimed at increasing the financial literacy of consumers and protecting their rights. The main target groups in these communities are schoolchildren, students, teachers, as well as journalists, and bank workers specializing in business, economics, and banking. In order to educate these target groups, the CBA conducts training, seminars, public events, workplace events, and propaganda campaigns.

The main goal of the CBA's activities within the framework of the powers determined by the law "On the Central Bank" is to ensure price stability in the country. In addition, the CBA organizes and maintains the activities of interbank centralized and other payment systems that do not require licensing, and also assists in the stability of the banking system.
