Foreign citizens spent 28.3 million manat ($16.6 million) in Azerbaijan by using bank cards in April 2021, which is 43.7 percent increase in comparison to April 2020, Trend reports referring to the ‘Export Review’ of the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
Foreigners spent 112.2 million manat from January through April 2021 ($66 million, which is 2.1 times less compared to the period from January through April 2020) in Azerbaijan by using bank cards.
Meanwhile, 162,900 foreigners and stateless people from 134 countries visited Azerbaijan, which is 3.3 times less than in the same period of last year. The trips were mainly made for non-tourist purposes.
Foreign citizens spent 430.2 million manat ($253 million) in Azerbaijan by using bank cards in 2020, which is by 65.7 percent less compared to 2019.
