The Azerbaijan National Depository Center made coupon payments to 45 investors in the amount of 99 million manat ($58.2 million) during May 2021, which is by 58.4 percent more than last month, the National Depository Center told Trend on June 9.
The payments during the reporting period were made on bonds of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance, EmbaFinance non-bank credit organization and Ferrum Capital LLC.
The National Depository Center made coupon payments to 783 investors in the amount of 62.5 million manat ($36.8 million) and $1.3 million in April 2021.
“The workshop has been recently held within the EU-Council of Europe Partnership Program project,” the National Depository Center said. “International expert Claudio Stroligo made presentations, including those on the topic of the cross-border payment system.”
The senior officials of the state agencies and structures, including representatives of the National Depository Center attended the event.
The National Depository Center held a meeting of the Azerbaijan Stock Market Participants Association in early April.
The proposals on changes to legislation that could stimulate the development of the securities market in Azerbaijan, settlements on transactions in the secondary market and the creation of expert groups within the Association were discussed.
