Iran shares data on value of GDP in mining sector

The value of the gross domestic product (GDP) in Iran’s mining sector increased by 2.3 percent over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021), compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020), Trend reports citing the report of Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the report, the value of GDP in the mining sector amounted to about 55.6 trillion rials (about $1.32 billion) at stable prices in 2011.

“While in the preceding Iranian year, this figure was 54.3 trillion rials (about $1.29 billion),” the report said.

The share of the mining sector in Iran's gross domestic product was 1.3 percent, the report said.

Reportedly, the value of Iran's GDP increased by 3.6 percent in the last Iranian year, compared to the preceding Iranian year. So, the value of the GDP amounted to 6.35 quadrillion rials (about $151 billion). While excluding oil, this figure was 5.5 quadrillion rials (about $131 billion).
