Goods worth 1.278 billion soums ($120,301) were sold on all trading platforms of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange (UZEX) for the period from July 19 to 25, which is 22.8 percent more than last week, Trend reports referring to UZEX.
According to UZEX, the total volume of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 460.8 billion soums ($43 million). As a result of electronic auctions for public procurement, the total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 30.3 billion soums ($2.8 million).
It is reported that during the reporting period, commodity resources worth 1.082 billion soums ($101,851) were sold at open exchange auctions.
During the past week, 8,830 tons of sugar were put up for sale, of which 8,730 tons, or 98.9 percent, were sold.
The daily average price for sugar of all categories decreased from 7,429 soums ($0.7) to 7,399 soums ($0.6949) per ton, or by 0.4 percent. As a result of exchange trading, the weekly weighted average price for local sugar of the third category amounted to 7,381 soums ($0.6932) per ton.
Also, 279,301 tons of cement were put up for sale, of which 157,686 tons were sold. The daily volume of cement sales averaged 39,400 tons.
The daily average price for cement of all brands increased from 508,500 soums ($47.87) to 512,900 soums ($48.28) per ton, or 0.9 percent.
Last week, 1,809 tons of liquefied gas were put up for exchange trades and the entire volume, or 100 percent, was sold. On average, 121 buyers took part in the exchange trades every day.
During the period under review, the daily average price for liquefied gas decreased from 6,084 soums ($0.57) to 5,388 soums ($0.51) per ton, or 11.4 percent.
During the period under review, the weekly weighted average price of liquefied gas amounted to 5,655 soums ($53) per ton.
