The turnover of securities at par in the Azerbaijani capital market increased by 42.4 percent as of the first half of 2021 compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the statistics report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
At the same time, the trade turnover of the securities market exceeded three billion manat ($1.8 billion). Some 2.5 billion manat ($1.5 billion) of that amount accounted for the state bonds while 520 million manat ($305 million) - for the notes of the CBA.
The share of the state bonds in the securities market amounted to 82.7 percent while the CBA notes - 17.3 percent.
Azerbaijan has mainly used the auctions for the placement of the CBA’s notes since 2021 to regulate liquidity.
