Main index of Iran's TSE sees decline

TEHRAN, Iran, Aug.17

The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) dropped 19,197 points to end the trades at 1.500 million points on August 16.

According to the TSE official website, about 10.15 billion shares valued at $1.7 billion were traded for the day, Trend reports.

The First and Second Market Price and Dividend Index (FM) dropped by 1.706 points and 1,880 points, respectively.

SHASTA, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Co., Tehran Oil Refinery, Chadermelo Industrial and Mineral Co., Mines and Steel Development Co., Golgohar Mineral and Industrial Co., Nouri Petrochemical Co., Parsian Oil and Gas Co., Ghadir Investment Co., Pardis Petrochemical co., and Iran Khodro Group Copmany had the biggest positive impact on TSE today.

Meanwhile, the indices of Pars Gulf Petrochemical Co., Barekat Medicine Group, Mellat Bank and Damavand Mineral Co., had the most negative effect on the TSE index.

The index of Farabourse also gained 251 points to end the trades at 21,557 points on August 16.

Arya Polymer Co., Gohar Zamin Iron Ore co., Hormozgan Steel Company, Minou Group Company Zagros Petrochemical Co., Saba Tamin Investment Co., and Tondgouyan Petrochemical Co.,had the biggest positive impact on the Farabpurseo index.

The indices of Damavand Electricity Generation Co., Maroun Petrochemical company and Kowsar Insurance Co., had the most negative effect on Farabourse today.
