Turkmen commodity exchange reveals amount of transactions for the past week

The total amount of transactions at the Turkmen commodity and raw materials exchange last week amounted to about $11 million, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen state news agency Turkmenistan Today.

According to the information, 20 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.

In particular, entrepreneurs from Switzerland, the UAE, Turkey, Malta, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, and others purchased gasoline and aviation kerosene produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries.

It is reported that plain-dyed and jacquard terry products and cotton yarn were sold for foreign currency. The countries-buyers last week were the UAE, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan. It is noted that the total amount of transactions amounted to about $11 million.

Thus, representatives of business circles from the UAE and Pakistan purchased cotton yarn for a total amount of over 6,853,000 manat ($2 million).

At the same time, domestic businessmen bought plastic pallets for 4.7 million manat ($1.3 million) for the domestic market, as well as Portland cement for about $100,000.
