Azerbaijani banks increased the volume of issued mortgage loans by 15.5 percent from January through October 2021 compared to early 2021 - up to 2.3 billion manat ($1.3 billion), Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
This figure increased by 17.6 percent on an annualized basis.
Azerbaijani banks issued mortgage loans in the amount of 1.9 billion manat ($1.1 billion) from January through October 2020.
The loan portfolio of Azerbaijani banks reached 15.9 billion manat ($9.3 billion) as of late October 2021.
Some 9.3 billion manat ($5.5 billion) and 4.3 billion manat ($2.5 billion) accounted for business and consumer loans respectively in the structure of the loan portfolio.
