The balance of bank loans in Iran increased by 43.8 percent in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through November 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
According to the report, the balance of bank loans amounted to 36.2 quadrillion rials (about $861 billion) in 8 months.
The balance of deposits also increased by 43.8 percent within 8 months, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the balance of bank deposits in Iran amounted to 49.4 quadrillion rials (about $1.17 trillion) over the reporting period.
Below is the balance of loans, foreign currency deposits of banks and financial institutions for the reported eight-month period, according to the official exchange rate ($1=42,000 rials):
