BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. The total assets of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic (CBAR) increased by 3.63 percent in 2021 compared to 2020, Trend reports citing bank's financial report.

According to bank’s report, total assets of CBAR increased by 924.5 million manat ($543.8 million) over the year - up to 26.4 billion manat ($15.5 billion). The largest share (65.7 percent) accounted for debt securities - 17.3 billion manat ($10.1 billion) in the structure of total assets.

Fixed assets increased by 21.7 percent year on year and amounted to 6.8 billion manat ($4 billion) in the structure of long-term assets.

Loans issued to banks reached 356.2 million manat ($209.5 million) at the end of 2021.

Intangible assets of CBAR amounted to 70.2 million manat ($41.3 million) in 2021.

Other assets of CBAR increased by 2.5 times over the year - up to 186.6 million manat ($109.7 million).
