BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 2. The fund balance raised by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) through the note placement from January through May 2022 totaled 780 million manat ($458.8 million), Trend reports citing the CBA's statistical report.

In the reporting period, the bank held 36 auctions for the placement of notes, out of which 22 were for the placement of long-term notes, 13 – 28-day notes, and one – 23-day ones.

During this time, the excess demand has been recorded at the note placement auctions, resulting in lower yield levels.

The trading activity of Azerbaijan's security market from January through May 2022 exceeded 3.46 billion manat ($2.03 billion). Out of the total number, 2.68 billion manat ($1.57 billion) fell on public bonds, and 780 million manat ($458.8 million) – on the Central Bank's notes.

Government bonds accounted for 77.5 percent of the securities market, while CBA notes – for 22.5 percent.
